One to watch

Delicious Arabic mezze, comfortable sofas and good company – what could be a better way to pass a leisurely evening? An invitation to enjoy just that was extended to Concierge by Rivoli for a suhoor in honour of German watch brand Junghans at the picturesque Park Hyatt Dubai hotel.

Junghans, which is a recent addition to the Rivoli portfolio, is currently making its debut in the Middle East and we were given the opportunity to meet some of the key figures behind the brand. Among them was Matthias Stotz, the CEO of Junghans, an acclaimed watch-maker and an authority on the history of the brand and its designs.

Over a tasty spread of hummous, fatoush salad, Arabic bread and falafel, Stotz described the brand from its origins in the nineteenth century through to its position as one of Germany’s most popular watches in recent times and its aim to reach further afield to the Middle East and China.

We’re looking forward to seeing these stylish and distinctive designs gracing the windows of Rivoli stores around the UAE.
